SCHOLARSHIPS AND SUBSIDIZED REGISTRATIONS
Eric Rofes Memorial Scholarship
The Task Force offers a limited number of scholarships to activists who would be unable to attend without a significant reduction in costs.

Scholarship recipients must pay a $50 administrative fee prior to the conference and are responsible for their own transportation and housing.

In order to receive the Eric Rofes Memorial Scholarship, you must submit an application.

The application consists of a personal statement, guidelines below.

Submit a statement that answers the following questions:
  • What work do you currently do with your local and state political organization(s)?
  • How will attending Creating Change enhance your organizing work?
  • Have you attended the conference before and, if so, how did it benefit you?
  • What funds are available to you for paying other costs, like transportation and housing?
  • What fundraising are you doing in your community to pay for other conference costs?

Scholarship priority is given to individuals for whom:
  • Attending the conference will improve their ability to do work in their local community and
  • Receiving a scholarship makes attending the conference possible for them.

Subsidized Registration
In addition to the Eric Rofes Memorial Scholarships, the Task Force offers a limited number of subsidized registration fees of $100 each. Submit a brief statement (maximum 250 words) explaining your need for subsidized registration and what you hope to learn from the National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change that will enhance the work you do in and for your community.
